Region 7 Championship 2003

The Regional Championship Show for NAMHSA's Region 7 (Kentucky, Ohio, and Tennessee) is being held on November 1, 2003 at the Highland Hall in Louisville, KY. The show is hosted by Anna Tackett, our Region 7 Representative. This will be a one day show, possibly expanding to two days next year.

Any model that earned 1st or 2nd place at a show held in Region 7 from May 1, 2001 to June 30, 2003 in a qualifying class is eligible. If results for a show are not available for Shannon to verify eligibility, please be sure to bring a copy of the results with you and/or the NAN card that your model(s) earned as proof. Entrants do not have to live in Region 7.

A show packet and other pertinent information will be made available as soon as possible. The entry form is below in .doc format. If you need another format, please let us know.

The following shows have already been held and have eligible models for the Regional Championship. If you know of any other shows that were held in Region 7 from May 1, 2001 to date, please contact Shannon de Waal at spookhorse01@yahoo.com. She still needs results for several of these shows - especially the Stone Age Live shows!

Not sure if your model is eligible or not? Check the lists! Currently Shannon has the following lists available of the OF and CM Halter class models and some of the Performance (OF & CM both) (she's steadily working on the others!). Please check the list and if you can, provide Shannon with clarification on:
  1. *If you plan on attending at all! Shannon will note this somewhere so we have a idea on showers.
  2. *Horse's SPECIFIC BREED
  3. *Horse's Size (is it a mini, mainly)
  4. *Horse's Division (plastic/china/resin/mini in OFs; CM or AR plastic/mini; custom glazed china; Breyer or Stone; etc) This will help Shannon determine splits and whether or not mini and china divisions are warranted!
  5. *ANY corrections to spelling of names, new owners, etc.
  6. *In the case of Collectible classes, Shannon has a section of fantasy/decorator classes that she needs more info on in order to place them better.
  7. *Clarification on Performance Classes - especially those marked as "other.." Shannon is still working on Perf. eligible models, but a partial list is included below!
  8. *Last thing, check over ALL horses owned by other people with similar initials in case of an error in ownership! There are a few people like this and she may have some horses mixed up here and there. Don't assume you are the only one with your given initials! Check the actual owner name!
Email Shannon Directly and she'll input the changes. The sooner the better! She is working on getting the rest of the shows into the database ASAP, but the above info will help immensely to finish off what we have already :)

Thus far from the known results of ten shows:
OF Models Eligible -*- CM Models Eligible -*- Performance Models Eligible

Performance Classlists are below. Unfortunately there aren't enough Minis to warrant a size split, but there are enough of OF and CM to warrant that split. These are the known Performance classes as of August 6, 2003.

Lodging: At this time Anna Tackett is making an effort to secure a "block rate" for RC showers. If this can be secured, information will be posted here. In the interim, the two nearest motels are:
Holiday Inn 3255 Bardstown Rd, Louisville KY 502-454-0451
Collier's Motel 4812 Bardstown Road Louisville, KY 502-499-1238

There will be an FFA convention in town then - so the rooms will need to be booked early, or there won't be any to be had.
